i will never stop having my mind blown over how many people see these insanely toxic platforms as somehow essential for life on this planet while brushing away that their complicity is the only medium that these platforms have to carry out all the evil shit that they do

man the metalk about maybe not letting metafilter just be links to facebook or bird site is predictably a total train wreck

i’m sending you all this insane positive energy right now

can you feel it?

can you feel the waves of energy flowing through your field?

my official attitude for today is “unfuckwithable”

which is cool, because really, if you're not paying monthly for spotify or youtube or google play you probably should not be listening to music because you are not worthwhile

i have 5 magnolia electric co albums, in my library and it managed to sync half of one, and it says that it's done or whatever, which i'm not sure how to like fix that

man it's great that i can use itunes to put music on my iphone that when i do that it actually doesn't make it there and there's zero reason as to why that happens so that the files on my iphone are a total mystery in terms of what it sync'd and what it didn't and there's no way to actually make it do the thing i want

also still making cloudbleed jokes in front of clients after all these years

still turning up for magnolia's hammer down after all these years

@robotcarsley in the endless void of the hold the announcer is my only friend and i find comfort in their unwavering faith that the website will be able save us even though we have been here 50 times before and as the static roars loud enough to consume whatever tatters that are left of the piano riff i clutch my phone ever closer to my face and pray that the announcer will make it to the other side with me as the line finally disconnects in three terminal boops

i am the hold master. i have cast off all the amateur crutches like speaker phone. i just pipe that sweet sweet hypercompressed music directly into my ears and close my eyes and just let it wash over me. this is my happy place

some people hate being on hold but i love the challenge and revel in the victorious moment when the line eventually disconnects because it means i have won and the prize is the chance to play the game again knowing i cannot be defeated

some would say that love and hate are two sides of the same toot

watching the alt right playbook again and got to the episode describing the time i tried lurking in the NY furry telegram to maybe meet some new friends only to discover it was run by a scamdemic nazi and left completely boggled about the hundreds of people who don't mind putting up with that
