the too long didn't read is, emerald city guitars is fine probably unless their owners are bad but at least the people who work there are good except sometimes they don't do a great job but we're all human i guess
anyway the quack is back until it isn't and then i gotta like figure out a place to drive my amp that isn't serviced by the one person who does all the famous people amps and guitars as well as every other amp and guitar for everyone in the metro area because otherwise i can count on being charged another hundo for the effort of lugging a heavy object across the sound
this is cool and fine but i was hoping for a quick phone call or text when my order was up so i could tell them to like rip out all of the tubes and replace them if they needed it and like do a whole work up on it because fuck this shit i don't have time in my life for maintaining an old amplifier this is the only amplifier i'm gonna bother with until i die
the most likely explanation is that the one person who is left that drives around from guitar store to guitar store collecting amps into their van and then transporting them across the sound to their shop to work on them with whatever time they have probably lost track of my amp and then finally got around looking at it but the work order was a carbon copy receipt slip with "reverb?" or some shit written on it and was like fuck it
which is in ways my issue because like i don't have time to do anything fun anymore and having my amp serviced was more of a "nice thing i can do for myself to make playing guitar more likely" since researching the schematics and diagnosing the issue is not my wheelhouse and would take many hours, even basic testing is like a stretch for me but like i got an hour tonight to just plug guitars and cords in and fiddle connections and after swapping the reverb input/output jacks the reverb came back
logged on to complain about emerald city guitars because everyone who works there is honestly super nice and their shop is cool and they said they worked on the guitars and amps of like 30 or 40 famous bands and musicians or whatever but like when i gave them my twin reverb for almost a month because the reverb unit is getting a spotty signal they charged me a solid hundred plus to say that my amp sounded great and then of course the reverb still didn't work as if they didn't even turn it on
@dankwraith wild how a statistical model of symbol occurrences can be used to probabilistically generate text, it's almost like the output is a function of the input transformed against original dataset being modeled, so it's accuracy and usefulness is... uh, highly variable, because input could really be anything and the modeled dataset is discrete, huh? kind of a bummer since it's super hard for people to understand the difference between statistically likely tokens and stuff they want to hear
if you guys have not tried out the prize pix apps you guys gotta try it out you guys know me and all the boys we love sleeping together and we love to fire on each other at time i know i can’t even sleep anymore without firing on others anymore so that’s why i always have prize pix open on my phone when i’m going to sleep so i can fire on my boys and it makes sleeping so much more fun

after i replaced my microwave i have been annoyed with the sound that it makes when you step through the four settings because it sounds like it’s walking down a major scale and never reaches the tonic - with the fan off the first beep is a fifth and then the second is a fourth and so on but i never noticed until just now that pressing for the fifth time it actually sounds the tonic as part of the unique chime it does for fan off… i just wouldn’t ever hear it because i leave it on and walk away
